STEM UP!

Training Course

28.02-07.03.2025.

Side, Türkiye

We’re excited to announce the successful completion of the Erasmus+ training course “STEM Up! Unlocking Skills for Tomorrow”, held in Side, Türkiye, from February 28th to March 7th, 2025. This Mobility of Youth Workers project provided an opportunity for Euroactive Serbia to collaborate with educators, trainers, and youth workers from across Europe, exploring innovative ways to integrate STEM into non-formal education.

Bringing together participants with diverse backgrounds, the training focused on how STEM can develop key competencies such as creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. More than just STEM, we delved into STEAM, incorporating arts and interdisciplinary approaches to enhance engagement and accessibility. Through interactive workshops and practical sessions, we explored how technology and science can be made more inclusive and engaging for young people.

Hands-on activities were a key element of the training. Participants had the opportunity to work directly with robots, experimenting with programming and mechanics to better understand their educational applications. Additionally, we explored historical technological advancements by interacting with very old devices, gaining firsthand insight into how past innovations have shaped modern STEM fields.

A highlight of the training was the collaborative development of new project ideas. Each organization contributed their expertise, sharing best practices and designing initiatives to bring STEM learning into their communities. Structured networking sessions facilitated meaningful connections, fostering future partnerships aimed at enhancing STEM education on an international scale.

Our participation in “STEM Up!” reinforced the importance of practical, hands-on learning in STEM education. By experiencing both cutting-edge and historical technologies, participants gained a deeper appreciation for how science and engineering continue to evolve.

Supported by the Erasmus+ program and organized by Pozitiva Samobor, this training equipped us with valuable tools and methodologies that we are eager to apply and share within our network. We look forward to seeing the projects and collaborations sparked by this training come to life in the months ahead.
