LEARN NON-FORMALLY

Training Course

13.8-22.08.2024.

Râmnicu Vâlcea, Romania

Our participants have successfully completed the training course “Learn Non-Formally,” which took place from August 13th to 22st, 2024, in Ramnicu Valcea, Romania. They are now returning home equipped with new tools and insights to enhance non-formal education practices in their communities.

During the course, participants focused on deepening their understanding of the differences between formal, informal, and non-formal education, while learning to facilitate innovative non-formal methods tailored to their local youth work contexts. They engaged in sharing good practices and tested creative approaches that can be adapted by youth organizations to make learning more engaging and inclusive.

A significant goal of this training was to promote the use of non-formal education as a powerful tool for youth empowerment, especially among marginalized groups. Participants developed their digital competencies by creating a brochure to support the dissemination of non-formal methods, while also reflecting on how to adapt educational tools to their organizational needs and the realities of their communities.

Throughout the course, participants built strong personal and professional connections with fellow youth workers from across Europe. These new networks lay the groundwork for future collaborations and a shared commitment to youth inclusion, creativity, and lifelong learning. The collaborative spirit developed during the week will now continue in their home countries through local follow-up actions and initiatives.

This project was funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme and organized by AIDE. It has provided participants not only with practical experience in non-formal learning, but also with the confidence and enthusiasm to continue shaping youth work in innovative ways.
